Chanting Book
Venerable Chao Khun Keng encourages everyone to not only chant the Suttas (Buddha’s teachings) but also to understand the contents as well.
Chao Khun Keng recounted that for the 12 years after he ordained as a monk in Thailand, he faithfully memorised the Pali chants and could do it well. However, as he recalled, one day, at Santi Forest Monastery, a group of visiting students from the University of Technology asked him the meaning of the Pali chants. To his embarrassment, he realised that he was not able to give them an answer! From that moment onwards, he was determined to get the Pali chants translated into English and Mandarin so that anyone doing the Pali chanting can understand the meaning of the chants.
This aspiration bore fruit and eventually, the translation of all the Pali chants done at Santi Forest Monastery ( morning and evening sessions) was successfully completed.

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming publication of Ajaan Keng Khemako’s autobiography in Chinese. Through the pages of this book, readers will discover the life and teachings of Chao Khun Keng, a spiritual master whose wisdom continues to inspire.
We anticipate the completion of the autobiography’s printing process in November 2024.
