Why Join the Food Offering?
Support the Monastic Community
Monks and novices rely completely on alms for their daily meals, just as they did during the Buddha’s time. Back then, laypeople would lovingly prepare food and wait patiently along the roads to offer sustenance to the Sangha. Today, you can offer in the same spirit—by preparing food in the morning and offering it with reverence as monks walk silently with their alms bowls. This simple act of generosity allows the monastics to live without worldly concerns and focus on their spiritual practice.
